The tenth CS:GO Major will be organized by ELEAGUE and will take place from January 22-29 at Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia.
In August it was confirmed that the tenth CS:GO Major would not take place by the end of 2016, as Valve were looking into the option of hosting it in January 2017.
ELEAGUE have just revealed that they will organize the next $1 million Major, which will take place from January 22-29. Only the last three days, supposedly reserved for playoffs, will be open to the public, with tickets already being sold.
The event’s venue will be the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, which has a capacity of less than 5,000 seats, the lowest amount since DreamHack Winter 2014.
ELEAGUE have also revealed that the grand final will be broadcast by TBS as well as Twitch.
An offline qualifier running from December 15-18 in ELEAGUE’s studios in Atlanta will determine the eight Challengers.
16 teams will take part in the offline qualifier, eight of which will come from a Regional Minor system while the other eight are ESL One Cologne’s bottom.
